John and Pat Macleod, who own Dunvegan, are a local family who
still live within Ullapool. Dunvegan was built by
John's father and used as the family house for many years. The house
itself is a traditional highland family home, though has expanded over
the years to offer a spacious and pleasant self-catering holiday home
in the centre of a picturesque village, famous for its scenery,
activities, food and hospitality. If you are looking for a base to
explore the region, Dunvegan can sleep 2 to 8 people (plus 2
children) and is well situated
for experiencing Ullapool and the Highland environment and countryside.

The house is fully furnished, has a lounge and reception/dining room,
a fully fitted kitchen with storage and cooking facilities. We have
also installed FreeSat television for
those days when the weather restricts outdoor activities. (There is
also a DVD and games rental shop on our street that also rents out
games consoles.)
We are situated in the original conservation area of Ullapool, within walking distance of a number of great pubs
and restaurants for those wishing to enjoy the evenings and the fine
food and drinks of the region, as well as craft, art and music venues
- including the Ceilidh Place and
Seaforth, both of which have won
national repute and awards.
We have off street parking that can accommodate a number of
vehicles and the garden is large, private and does have BBQ facilities
for summer evenings.

As dog owners ourselves, we allow guests to take their
dogs with them but do ask that they are well behaved and look after
the house. (nibbles can be bought in the shops along the road so
please don't chew on the furniture) (pets and owners!). Our intention with Dunvegan is to offer pleasant, reasonably priced
accommodation to those wishing to enjoy what our village and region
has to offer. Prices start from £195 per week, though of course
vary with the seasons so please contact us
for a full price. |
